Bob Perrin, CEO, has been with Williams and Fudge since 1993. Prior to being promoted in October 2014 to CEO, he served since 2005 as President of Williams and Fudge.
Since 1980 Bob has been directly involved in the operations of Student Loan Management He began his career in Higher Education at the University of South Carolina where he managed fourteen Federal loan programs at the University of South Carolina’s nine campuses for eleven years.
Bob is currently past president of COHEAO (Coalition Of Higher Education Assistance Organization). He has been involved on the national scene along with many other members of the Education Community to work with Congress and the Department of Education to preserve the Federal Perkins Loan Program. Those efforts include meeting with Congressional members and their staff as well as providing testimony on behalf of COHEAO and the industry during Congressional hearings. Bob has spoken at numerous national conferences on topics relating to higher education issues currently faced by loan administrations.
Bob is also involved on the national scene with industry leaders in an effort to modernize the Telephone Communication Practice Act (TCPA), and has done recent presentations on the Future of Financial Aid, TCPA, Smart Phone Applications, Electronic Payments, Web Usage For Collection Agencies, and Washington Updates.
David has been employed at Williams and Fudge full time since August of 2000, previous to that spending time as an account representative. After spending six years in the sales and marketing area, David moved inside to become a part of the executive management team and help with all facets of the company. These include, but are not limited to finance, compliance, human resources, technology, client services, and overseeing projects related to the growth of the organization.
David has served as Treasurer, Vice President, and President of the South Carolina Collectors Association, and currently serves as the South Carolina delegate to ACA International’s Council of Delegates. Nationally, David serves as Chairman of ACA’s PPMS Committee, is a member of their Governance Task Force, and also serves on the ACPAC committee of ACA. Locally, David serves on many Boards including that of the York Technical College Foundation, a Winthrop University Advisory Board, the Upper Palmetto YMCA, and is or has been involved in many other local organizations and events.
Executive Vice President
Chris joined us after having worked extensively in management and training with a large national company. He has a wealth of business knowledge and a vast understanding of the importance of customer/employee relations. After four years as a sales representative, Chris was promoted to his current position in January 2003. In addition to his work with the sales and client support teams, Chris is responsible for ensuring that all facets of Williams & Fudge’s operations comply with client and regulatory requirements.
In addition to attaining the Scholar Degree from ACA International, The Association of Credit and Collection Professionals; Chris holds certifications as a Professional Collection Specialist (PCS) and Higher Education Collection Specialist (HECS). He is involved locally with the Boy Scouts of America, currently serving as the York District Chairman, and the Arts Council of York County.
Vice President of Product and Innovation
In his previous role as VP, Financial Services Solutions Delivery with RevSpring, Jon oversaw a team focused on continually improving the onboarding experience and streamlining the process, benefiting both the client and RevSpring. He has lead product and innovation initiatives at RevSpring and Ontario Systems through a variety of roles, always focused on delivering the right solution for the job. Jon’s passion is on working with people to turn ideas into reality, ultimately making an impact for team members, clients, and the community.
Vice President of Finance
Ronnie came to Williams & Fudge in March 2012 with over 12 years of service in public and private accounting, most recently having worked for a multinational textile company. As a certified professional accountant, he brings a wealth of experience with financial and managerial accounting, budgeting and forecasting, and business analysis. His responsibilities with the company include developing and sustaining an in-house management reporting platform to ensure that accurate and timely financial information is available to support the management team.
Vice President of Collections
Clay has been in the collection industry since 1986. His management experience in the collection industry has equipped Clay to meet the corporate training needs of the Williams & Fudge staff. Clay has earned the degree of Fellow in Collection Business Management, which is the ACA International’s highest scholastic achievement award in continuing education. Additionally, public speaking skills make Clay a valuable asset for collection instruction for all of our clients.
Vice President of Human Resources
Tricia joined the staff of Williams & Fudge as the Human Resources Manager in May 2006. Since 1997, Tricia has managed the Human Resources operations as well as the Safety functions for a wholesaler, retailer and distributor of fuel oils. She has a broad background of experience in Human Resources as well as being an adjunct faculty for a Minnesota Technical College. Tricia’s experience working in a family business will be an asset to the HR mission and strategic goals at Williams & Fudge.
Vice President of Operations
Adam joined Williams & Fudge in 2011. After graduating from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a degree in Computer Engineering, Adam joined a restaurant technology startup company as a systems/operations manager. He worked as a member of the development team to design new features and troubleshoot system bugs; he also managed the implementation and support of software and hardware products deployed across the US. Adam led the implementation of our current collections software and is responsible for all aspects of our data and application systems.
Vice President of IT and Compliance
Phillip joined Williams & Fudge in 2007, bringing years of technology and communications experience to the table. Phillip is a VMware Certified Professional (VCP) and has been named VMware vExpert every year since 2013. He deployed the private cloud infrastructure and disaster recovery/business continuity plans for the company, and he now leads the IT and Operations team and manages multiple special projects. Phillip is also responsible for information security and compliance. Phillip is very involved in the local IT community and other non-profit community organizations. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Winthrop University.
Possessing 30+ years of experience in the collection industry, Bob has transitioned from a primary role of training and development to the position of Compliance Officer/Ombudsman. In addition to ensuring that the compliance requirements of the industry have a positive effect on the success of Williams & Fudge by imparting the professional and ethical concepts of proper collection techniques, creating a balance of performance incentives with compliance objectives; he oversees our Compliance Management System, identifying and managing risk in consumer dispute resolution / complaint handling, policies and procedures, as they pertain to daily operations and training.
Outside General Counsel
Chad joined Williams & Fudge in August of 2003 as the company’s Corporate Counsel. He currently serves as Outside General Counsel managing the company’s legal compliance issues, employment law issues, contracts, and litigation defense. He is the owner of The Echols Firm, LLC located in Rock Hill. Chad is an active member of the South Carolina Bar Association, the York County Bar Association, and the ACA International Member Attorney Program (MAP). Chad serves as the South Carolina State Chair for MAP. In addition to practicing law Chad is an Elder at Oakland Avenue Presbyterian Church, on the board of the York County Clemson Club, serves as a business leader advisor to the Winthrop University Development Office, serves on the board of directors for the York County Department of Disabilities and Special Needs, and enjoys time with his wife and two children.
Founder and Chairman of the Board
Since founding Williams & Fudge in 1986, Gary has grown the company to be one of the leading companies in the student loan industry. In 2014, he assumed the duties of Chairman of the Board to allow the management team full flexibility to operate the company on a day to day basis. Gary served as President of ACA International, the Association of Credit and Collection Professionals. He also served in national leadership positions including Vice President, Treasurer, and on the Board of Directors of this 5,400-member organization. This national leadership enabled him to communicate with the top government collection agencies in the country. Locally, he was elected by the citizens of Rock Hill to serve on the School Board. He is also past President of The Winthrop University Foundation, Palmetto Council of the Boy Scouts, YC Community Foundation, Camp Canaan, and served with other local organizations. He was honored by Winthrop University to receive a Doctorate of Humane Letters. He is active in his church serving in many areas including past deacon chair and currently teaching adults in Bible study. Married since 1972, he and Peggy have 2 children that are active in the business, and six fantastic grandchildren.
