Williams & Fudge, community partners donate 350 bikes for children in need at 14th annual bike race

Williams & Fudge’s 14th Annual Bike Race for the Kids took place Thursday morning at The Cotton Factory. Williams & Fudge employees and Community Partners lined Village Way to show their support and participate in the race, competing in self-propelled heats on bikes purchased during late November, early December and throughout the year.

 

Williams & Fudge employees raise funds and bicycles annually for Toys for Happiness to distribute to youth in York County. 2017 efforts yielded more than 320 bikes, trikes, and scooters. This year employees raised $17,000 to use towards the purchase of discounted bikes through Academy Sports. Combining Staff contributions and donations from Community Partners a total of 350 bicycles were donated to Toys for Happiness.

 

This event is supported by Williams & Fudge employees and a local partners including WRHI Radio and Interstate 107, Academy Sports, Family Trust, South State, Insurance Brokers, Smith Dray Line, Oakland Baptist Church, Young Professionals of York County, Franklin Pharmaceutical, Lee Gardner, The Echols Firm, Avanti, JanPro, Jim Hardin Law, Rock Hill Police Department, Principal and Kocher Cabinets.
